Classification of fireproof glass

There are five kinds of fireproof glass, one is laminated composite fireproof glass, the other is sandwich fireproof glass, the third is special fireproof glass, the fourth is hollow fireproof glass, and the fifth is high-strength single-layer cesium potassium fireproof glass.

By product type

Fireproof glass is a kind of special glass that can adhere to its integrity in the specified fire resistance test. It is divided into three categories according to product varieties:

Fireproof glass

Class A

Together with fireproof glass that meets the requirements of fire integrity, fire resistance and heat insulation. It includes composite fire-proof glass and cast-in-place fire-proof glass. This kind of glass has the functions of light transmission, fire prevention (smoke, fire and heat radiation), sound insulation and impact resistance. It is suitable for the construction of decorative steel wood fireproof doors, windows, upper lighting, partition walls, daylighting roofs, smoke retaining vertical walls, perspective floors and other building components that need to be both transparent and fireproof.

Class B

A fire-proof glass that meets the requirements of fire integrity and thermal radiation intensity. This kind of fireproof glass is mostly composite fireproof glass, which has the characteristics of light transmission, fire prevention and smoke separation.

Class C

Single piece fireproof glass only satisfying the fire integrity requirements. This kind of glass has the characteristics of light transmission, fire prevention, smoke separation and high strength. It is applicable to fireproof glass partition walls, fireproof windows, outdoor curtain walls, etc. without thermal insulation requirements.

By structural type

It is divided into fireproof laminated glass, thin coated fireproof glass, single fireproof glass and fireproof wire glass. The fireproof laminated glass can be divided into composite fireproof glass and poured fireproof glass according to the characteristics of production process.

According to fire resistance limit

It is divided into 5 grades according to fire resistance limit: 0.5h, 1.00h, 1.50h, 2.00h and 3.00h.

According to fire resistance function

Insulated fireproof glass (Class A), non insulated fireproof glass (Class C) and partially insulated fireproof glass (class B).
